Terms and Conditions

1) The terms and conditions apply to all business transactions carried out by Plate Hub, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Company’.
2) The person applying for bespoke goods from the ‘Company’ is hereinafter referred to as the ‘Purchaser’.
3) Your statutory rights are not affected.

Section 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (Statutory Instrument 200 No.2334) no cancellations are accepted once your order has been placed be that by internet, telephone or through the mail. Subsequently there is no ‘cooling off period’, the transaction cannot be reversed and no refund can be given. Therefore It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure that all details are entered onto Company Internet forms and submitted correctly. Under the Distance Selling Regulations the Company must notify you that the service we provide begins as soon as an order is received online.

Delivery

In line with our chosen delivery partner, we cannot guarantee delivery of items on a Saturday.

The time scales of delivery are indicative and not a guaranteed time frame.

We cannot be held responsible for delays to your delivery which relate, either directly or indirectly, to issues caused or associated with our chosen delivery partner. As such we are unable to offer refunds or compensation for such delays.

All orders are dispatched by our chosen couriers. Orders placed before 5pm will be dispatched on the same day. Orders placed after 5pm on a Friday will be dispatched on the Monday after (unless it’s a bank holiday, then it will be the Tuesday). All Express orders have to be ordered before 2pm.

We cannot be held liable if You select an incorrect delivery method.

We will not be held liable if a UK delivery method is chosen and a non UK address is entered.

We cannot be held liable for an incorrect shipping address being entered at the time of order. If we believe an address has been incorrectly entered, then an attempt will be made to contact you. If we are unsuccessful, then we reserve the right to wait until you contact us in relation to your order.

Lost items are not deemed lost by couriers until 14 days after posting. We are in no way responsible for any lost items. Any replacements for lost items will be produced and dispatched at our discretion.

We cannot replace or refund lost or stolen goods in transit without a full postal investigation and trying to determine what went wrong. We may also not refund or replace goods until the postal insurance pays out.

If you unsubscribe from marketing, please note we may still contact you with transactional messages from time to time, for example, order and delivery information, and information about your legal rights.

Purchases

The transaction cannot be reversed and no refund can be given. In no circumstances will the Company be made responsible by the ‘Purchaser’ who wishes to cancel the agreement or change his or her order.

If the failure is with the company then in this case any payment made shall be refunded in full, provided that the failure is through no fault of the Purchaser.

The liability is limited to a full refund only and no claims for damages; interest on monies paid or any other expenses will not be considered.

Whilst every attempt is made to ensure the fastest possible dispatch of goods, the Company cannot guarantee any specific time period for the entire transaction. The Company cannot accept responsibility for delays or errors caused by the postal system or third party carriers for which it has no control.

If in the unlikely event that the plates arrive at the purchaser damaged or faulty please send back for inspection by the companies technicians. Plates checked and seen to be damaged during mailing to the purchaser or found to be faulty will be manufactured again from scratch and dispatched. Damaged plates will be replaced at our discretion. Materials used in the companies plate building process ensure that the plates supplied always fulfill necessary quality standards laid down by law.

Plates supplied by the company ( Plate Hub ) are Show Registration Plates which are made and supplied for “off road” use only, car shows exhibitions, private land etc, where the law does not apply. Due to the strict restrictions of trade given by the UKs ‘DVLA’ all plates, including legal style layout or full design control are sold to the Purchaser on the basis of being for show use only and the Purchaser may risk prosecution if the registration plates are used on UK highways.

It is the purchasers responsibility to make sure all selection of spacing on the plate is compliant with relevant regulations..

Showplates are by their nature personalised products therefore refunds or returns are not valid if you change your mind or don’t like the received items. The online plate builder gives an example of the plate design and look you have chosen. The plates supplied by the company will resemble closely the image shown. They may though have slight differences due to website software limitations.
